Clubs, Societies & Projects Committee Roles

Club, Society & Project roles

Extra-curricular activities - in your hands

Imperial College Union has 380+ Clubs, Societies and Projects - one of the highest numbers of any students' union in the UK. They're phenomenally popular with an average of two memberships per student.

Many of our student groups have been growing and developing for decades. Several, such as the Gliding Club and Boat Club, have histories dating back to before the second world war. Many of our student groups are new, and have rapidly grown their membership. Many groups have annual turnovers in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.

Clubs, Societies & Projects are automatically included in the Leadership Elections. This ensures that every member has the chance to run and vote.

Each Club Society and Project will have its principal three roles, President (or equivalent such as Chair or Captain), Secretary and Treasurer. You can read about the principal roles here. Along the principal roles each CSP may also have many others, from Web Masters to Events Officers etc. You can get in touch with the current committee to find out about other roles available for voting.

Management Committee positions will be elected later on in the year, so are not included in the Leadership Elections 2024.
