Union Sustainability Strategy

Launching in the 2024/25 academic year.

After our first round of student consultations, progress on our plan implementation is running along smoothly at ICU. Watch this space for more information coming soon on our second round of consultations and let us know your feedback!

Sparked by our new organisational strategy in 2023, Sustainability was identified as a core enabler to our meaningful progression forward towards our mission as an organisation.

For us, sustainability means meeting the current needs of our community without compromising future generations’ ability to meet theirs. We must all balance environmental, economic, and social factors to create systems that are resilient and enduring.

Principles of Socially Responsible Engagement

Relationships with third parties entered into by ICU are considered by the following principles.

This is to ensure they support and align with our mission, strategy, and values.

Our principles of social engagement outline the the considerations we take as an organisation and are the first step towards creating a shared, strategic approach for ICU’s engagements. View the minutes and principles below.
