Hi I'm Nico, and I’m your Deputy President for Welfare this year before I return to finish my Theoretical Physics degree. I was involved with the union through sessions at the DJ & Production Society, while I was balancing my studies and a part-time job.
A little bit more about me.
I’m half Argentinian and half British. I permanently moved to the UK at the age of 16 to attend school and work on my English. When I'm not working, you can find me at home trying to teach English to my two cats, making music on my native instrument, the ronroco, learning new recipes, or exploring random interests. My special interest for the past year or so has been hydroponics and future food systems.

My favourite thing about Imperial is the diversity. I love the multicultural environment that enables the collaboration of brilliant minds from all across the globe.
My 2024/25 goals.
- Continue working on fostering a welcoming environment, facilitate more recreational spaces, and enhance communication between students and the union.
- Implement the mental health strategy, continuing the work done by my predecessor and the Mental Health Officer.
- Develop a platform to redistribute surplus food across campus, addressing both the cost of living crisis and food waste.
-Expand mentorship programs connecting underrepresented students with alumni.
- Host more inclusive activities with societies, making it easier for students to meet people and participate in union-hosted events.
- Be an accessible and supportive representative, keeping my ears open to student feedback and new initiatives.
