PotMed 2018

PotMed is an all-day workshop hosted by Muslim Medics, a society based at Imperial College London. The event aims to aid POTential MEDical students with their application to university. We offer opportunities to practice and develop the skills needed in order to make a successful application to medical school. On the day, you will receive personalised advice and feedback on a 1:1 basis from current medical students who have been through the application process before. We will cover all components of the application process from preparing to write your personal statement right through to the interview process and beyond. The itinerary will include: – Talks from current medical students, doctors and lecturers. – Mock interviews for both panel and MMI style with personalised feedback. – One-to-One personal statement analysis with personalised feedback. – Drop-in sessions for BMAT, clinical skills and ethics. – Opportunities to meet with representatives from other medical schools. – Guided tour of the Imperial College London South Kensington campus, with a unique insight into the day-to-day life of a medical student. – Lunch with refreshments throughout the day.
