Who are we?
When you enrol at Imperial, you automatically become a member of the union. This gives you free access to all of our services, events and activities. We’re run by democratically elected Imperial students, who are supported by a full-time staff team, ensuring the student voice is represented and championed at all times.
We’re also an independent organisation from Imperial, meaning our policies and decisions are student-led and we can give constructive and impartial feedback and action to the University.

Join a club or society
Not sure where to start when picking a club to join? We’ve got you!We have over 340 clubs, societies and projects (CSPs) for you to choose from. Don't miss our Welcome Fair in October, where we’ll have a whole host of amazing CSPs out and about to answer all your questions! This is one of our biggest days of the year, as we take over the South Ken campus for one day only.
You'll find loads of CSPs all around campus during Welcome Fair, plus a bunch of brands with exclusive student discounts, offers and freebies. This is the one day not to miss!
If you can't find what you're looking for on the day, take a look at our Club, Society & Project A to Z | Imperial College Union. And if there's still nothing tickles your fancy, why not take the lead and start your own!
Advice & support
Our professional and independent Advice team are here for all Imperial students to support you through a range of academic and non-academic issues. There are also close to 100 wellbeing representatives, who are students just like you, across a range of faculties, departments and study types, that raise any wellbeing concerns to ICU and the University.
Make a change on campus
You have the power to shape your learning experience, defend the interests of under-represented student communities, and ensure your voice is heard at the highest levels of decision making.
Autumn Elections are coming up soon, with our major annual elections taking place in March each year. Don’t miss your chance to stand up and make change, whether that be running for a position or casting your vote!
Communities
These representatives provide a safe space for students identifying with these cohorts and help build communities and visibility on campus. As well as being a support network for students part of these groups, they also organise campaigns and initiatives to tackle problems their members may face.
