Following the Club, Society & Projects Culture Review last year, various long-term goals were set out to improve the culture and experience of students at Imperial College Union. One of the top goals was to improve support by creating a fund to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in high-cost activities.
Thanks to some incredible work by Dylan (DPCS, 2022-23) last year, and the continued work of your Officer Trustees and Union Staff teams, today we can introduce the Student Experience Fund.

Sadly, this isn’t just an average weekday. The Welcome Fair is one of the biggest events of the year – and 2022 was back with a bang after Covid!

As my year as Deputy President (Clubs and Societies) comes to a close, I have been reflecting on how much has changed in the past year. When I came into the role, COVID restrictions and the changes to them defined society activity. Now, we are pretty much back to normal – and I’d like to think this normal looks better than before.
These last few months have been both crazy and exciting, with all our student groups enthusiastically getting back to in person activity, with matches, shows, conferences and competitions, as well as much more, all back in full swing.
