Poppy Appeal “In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.” — John McCrae Since Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae witnessed them blossoming over the graves of fallen soldiers on the western front, red poppies have become a symbol of hope and remembrance of the Service men and women killed in conflict. This year, from the 7th to the 12th of November, we are raising money for the British Legion to help veterans, often physically and mentally impaired from military actions, to recover from traumas of war and return to normal lives. We need YOU to help us sell poppies on campus, in tube stations and on the streets. Be there to show your support! Sign up below to help at South Kensington Tube Station!
